We stayed in room type- Double Room on the top floor. Rooms in Paris hotels often tend to be on the smaller side as compared to other European countries but at Garance, the size is decent as per the city. The room is elegant, has a sophisticated atmosphere and has a harmonious combination of different shades of grey and red for a warm atmosphere. The room is very clean with a comfortable bed and soundproofed.
There was a cute little and very french step-on balcony with a view of the city.
The hotel is tucked in the side door next to a restaurant so one has to really look out for door number. The location of the hotel is near Les Gobelins metro and a very interesting Mouffetard market. The bus stop is right out front. Ideally located within minuted by walk from the Saint Germain Avenue. Just a 35-minutes walk to Notre Dam and a Big Bus stop.
A 30 min drive from Gare du Nord Station/ 15 min drive from Gare de Lyon station. 40 min to Charles de Gaulle Airport.
There are many restaurants and french cafes around and not to mention you will be a block and a half away from the Latin Quarter. Indian restaurant and halal food are easily available. There are two supermarkets and a health food store where you can buy drinks, food, snacks, prepackaged meals as well as cheese shops, bakeries, etc so you can make yourself an excellent and inexpensive picnic meal for the banks of the Seine or your hotel.
The hotel provided only basic amenities. Good Wi-Fi speed, hairdryer, TV but no electronic safe deposit in the room and heated indoor airer for drying the clothes. Extra needed facilities such as additional toiletries, coffee/tea setups, adapter as well as battery charger leads or iron facilities are available at the front desk at any time.
For those on a Business trip they provide:
The hotel rooms are more for the family and holiday pleasure stay but still, they have a decent size writing table along with needed power sockets for your laptops. The hotel also provide complimentary good free wifi.
The reception staff is kind and courteous. They serve continental Breakfast Buffet at their restaurant not much variety but decent enough to start your day
The Hôtel Garance is a perfect base for travelers wishing to visit Paris by bus or metro. A direct metro link will take you in no time to the best attractions of the French capital including the Louvre, the Tuileries Gardens or Notre-Dame Cathedral. Is right next to a charming area filled with shops, cafes, and restaurants
