The Stimulus

I have always been a “Planned” guy, who does everything with a decent amount of planning and thinking. But somehow, the concept of unplanned traveling always exhilarates me.

In the year 2015, I decided to go on my first solo travel and left my country India for the first time. I was in Australia for around 8 days. All alone, in an unknown country far from my homeland. That was an experience which along with giving me a feel of adventure, gave me inspiration. More than going abroad and visiting great places, I have been craving for that experience of being alone in an unknown place. A weekend or 5-7 days long trips do not excite me anymore.

So, I decided to do it again and this time, it should be bigger. After saving for few months, I decided to quit my regular office job. Finally, 11th April 2016 was my last day at one of the favorite companies I worked for. Giving priority to my heart over my brain, I decided to travel as much as possible, before either I go broke or become exhausted.

The whole plan is based on the assumption that I will be able to make some money doing freelance work while traveling. But as I said, it’s an assumption yet to be proven.

So here I am, in Thailand. Jobless, determined and focused on chasing what I have dreamed about. This first trip is going to be 3 months long starting 7th May 2016 covering 5 Asian countries. Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam.

If you are a friend, here is how you can help:

1. Suggest me amazing places to go.
2. Forward me any freelance opportunities. As a part of skill set, I am a penetration tester or Ethical Hacker. I find ways to hack applications so that companies can fix them and become more secure.

Read this long back,

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. – Mark Twain

Wish me luck friends 🙂
